While it’s probably the single most common product used for applications like this, Silicone caulking (not silicon) is barely acceptable as a means of providing a seal- it doesn’t stick to plastics well and if there’s any movement the seal can break. Even lexel is better if you can’t use butyl. Butyl tape, butyl rubber caulking, lexel, urethane caulking- all are far superior to any silicone. It did come with screws. No tape was sent, but it wasn’t needed.

No it won’t, had to use a second hose 1-1/4 and hard to find a fitting 1-1/2 to 1-1/4. Found one in aluminum on Amazon, and another one that has a 1-1/2 threaded end to connect on water tank, with a 90 degree bend
