Answer:
Emails come from Zircon, through Amazon SES. If the service is discontinued, the unit will continue to be an alarm, just no remote notifications. And by then, there may be a replacement.

Answer:
The Zircon leak detector will float in water easily. It packs a great deal of function into a small microprocessor card. It's a closed box. The box is much lighter than the water it displaces. It floats easily. Peter castaldi

This unit is great!!! I was able to set it up to send notices to cell phones and email.

Most wireless phone providers let you send emails that convert to text messages. During the device setup, you can specify several email addresses to receive notifications. I used the format of 1234567890@vtext.com to send text messages to my Verizon wireless phone. So now water leak alerts will be sent as text messages to a couple cell phones plus a couple gmail accounts. I ran several tests and it works great!

Answer:
Hello. No, the Leak Alert must be placed flat on the floor so that the wire contacts will come in contact with the water when there is a leak. Also, the Leak Alert is made to float in case the water starts to rise and the position you show would prevent this from happening. Thank you.

Answer:
Hello Robin. The emails are generated and sent via a gateway server to provide data storage and security. Email notifications will continue to be generated throughout the product’s life cycle. Thank you.

Hello Jakar. You are receiving information for the previous week so the date on the Event Log notification is referring to when that log began. We hope this answers your question. Thank you.
