I can only comment on both the series I and series II that I had:

1. The QC 35 II is a lot lighter and feels closer to how the QC 25 was for me. The QC 35 I packed a lot of weight for me, which I didn't exactly mind, but other people might.

2. As Alliouga stated, the airplane adapter is no longer offered. (Nor was it for the QC 35 I either to be fair.) It's not a deal breaker for me but it's just kind of Bose cheaping out on something that used to come free.

3. Google Assistant. Not included in the QC I. If you want to use these headphones a lot with your Android phone/tablets, it's an important factor.

4. And most importantly for me, something I didn't know when I bought the QC 35 I, a lot of those pairs have problems with the Bluetooth technology. By that, there is a huge amount of hissing and crackling during moments there shouldn't be any. (It seems to be a problem with a lot of Bluetooth sets but it's not acceptable for $300+). A lot of upgrading will help with the QC 35 I's but out of the box, the QC 35 II handles it a lot better. It's not perfect, there is some crackling if music is paused or stopped "suddenly" and maybe another update will fix that but it's still preferable to what was going to the QC 35 I out of the box. see less

Hi, thank you for the interest in the QC 35 Series II headset!
You do not need an additional inline cable with a microphone. To confirm, the headset has the mic built into the earcup and is active when on phone calls.

Thanks for your inquiry! Yes, the active noise-cancellation begins as soon as the QuietComfort 35 III are powered on. You do not need to be playing music or taking a phone call for this feature to work. We hope this helps!

I recently did a 40-minute walk with these on and it was fine. It was cold out (well, cold to use Southern Californians - it was probably 50 to 55 degrees). In fact, it was great because it helped keep my ears warm, but not too hot. I won't be trying this in warm weather though.

Having 100% hearing loss on one ear myself, the best course of action I found is to go to Settings - General - Accessibility and turn on "Mono Audio". This will not change the quality of the sound since one ear is deaf anyway and it will allow all sounds to be routed to both speakers of your headset. This will not change the quality of the sound since one ear is deaf anyway and it will allow all sounds to be routed to both speakers of your headset. Just a note for consideration, I had the Apple AirPods tested and if you just put on one of them, iOS changes the sound to Mono automatically and sends it to the AirPod earpiece that you are wearing only. Of course, the AirPods do not do noise cancelling but having a hearing problem, this may be information you would like to know.
