The tires come with a white built in to the tire number that identifies when that tire was actually made. Mine were dated very close to the date I received them. I do not think they sit around too long, since Michelin is one of the very few companies still making that tire. There is no way to tell until you get them. However the two I purchased had a production date of about three months prior to purchase. Hope this helps.
