I have two of these monitors for my setup. And I play call of duty modern warfare on it. They are really good. Provided that I've never played on a 144hz monitor though.

Depends on the mac you have - you will probably need a Mini-Display port adapter, or a USB-C adapter (if you have a "newer" laptop).

It as one HDMI port and mine came with an HDMI cord. I would still buy an extra just in case, always good to have backups as well.

I am using it for my office work daily and dont think a need of 144hz for daily office work. I am not sure if this will work with gaming or not.

Answer:
The cord is where the power is converted from AC to DC at a certain voltage. Be very careful and match the DC power requirements on the back with the proper power cord or it could short or cause internal damage.
