We only use their remote to turn it on if the tv has been paused for a certain amount of time. Ours comes automatically when the tv comes but if you pause it for too long you will see the light on the soundbar go red, this means you will need to turn the soundbar back on by sometimes by clicking it on twice until you see it change colors to the blue this means the sound bar is back on to full working order. Pausing the tv will do this. Pay attention to the light dot on the bar.
