If your wifi is weak there is an ethernet hard-line option on the speaker. Some zones in my home have weaker wifi and the speakers continue to work great.

Yes. You do not have to have every room linked to the same service simultaneously.

They are designed to work with Google Assistant and Alexa... I'm not an Alexa owner but the echo dot is an Amazon product that uses Alexa, no? Should work great!
