For a 16: 9 aspect ratio 228" (19FT) screen the projector would have to be placed between 24' 6"- 26' 10" away. At that distance there need to be no ambient light. The shadow border around the projected image from the Optoma HD143X is inherent to the architecture of the new DMD chip used. It is not noticeable when used with a projection screen with black frame and does not affect picture quality. Its great I have it set at 120 inches on a nice screen there's zero lag. It does better gaming than for watching tv. I cant tell the difference between it and my 50 inch 1080i tv. Unless you can hide what would be a very long audio wire, using a Bluetooth connection from the audio source is the best idea. I generally watch movies using my iPad and connect audio via Bluetooth and have had no problems.
