Hi, I'd say go a size up because the fit will be really snug. I print 8.5 x 11 on printer paper for order receipts and I have to fold them in half.

The problem is the 2.4 height. The 6x9 couldn't handle it, but the next size up would. Poly Bubble Mailers 8.5x12 Padded Envelopes #2 I have some of this size, too and it would work well.

I placed flat paper inside that measured 5 1/2" wide and that's about as wide as the inside usable width of this envelope is. No way you could place anything flat inside measuring 6" wide.
