Leave the switch off for about a minute then turn it on and the light will come on for the time that you have it set for 1 or 5 or 10 minutes.

Answer:
I would change the Max setting to about halfway between max and low. At max, you are looking out at about 75 feet if there is any movement it will never go off. I had the same problem and I had to cover 1/4 of the sensor and cut back to the less sensitive setting.

Answer:
Both lights swivel independently left/right and up/down. The sensor also swivels left/right and up/down and its sensitivity can be adjusted. 5-10 feet is a small area and I haven't tried to adjust it to that, but I suspect it will work. It was pretty easy to get it to capture just my driveway without hitting the sidewalk.

Answer:
Previous light replaced and installation similar to a ceiling fan or chandelier light fixture. Which would be similar to an electrical outlet or box. Light then connected to an indoor switch for manual or automatic operation.
