I just put it on my forearm and bend my elbow to keep it in place until they call me! Hope this helps you

Well you can probably fit into a mitten but i seriously doubt you could Ski with this thing in there. It's pretty good size. I don't have it with me to measure but I'd guess its about 1.5 inch thick and about 4 inches long and 2.5 wide.
