Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen or snoozing in the bedroom, Alexa can keep an eye on the clock. Just ask:


“Alexa, set an alarm for 7am.”

Repeating alarms:

“Alexa, set an alarm for every Monday at 8am.”

Music alarms:

“Alexa, wake me up at 7am to ‘The Lazy Song’ by Bruno Mars.”


“Alexa, set a timer for 15 minutes.”

“Alexa, how much time is left on the timer?”

Sleep & wake timers:

“Alexa, set a sleep timer for 30 minutes."

“Alexa, set an alarm for 7 AM with bedroom lights."

“Alexa, set a sleep timer on Charlies lamp for 20 minutes."

Calendar & Email


Link a calendar or email from Google, G Suite, iCloud,, or Office365, then just ask Alexa to add events, browse your upcoming events, or check your emails.

“Alexa, what’s on my calendar today?”

“Alexa, what’s my next meeting?”

“Alexa, tell me about my workday.”

“Alexa, what are my work briefings?”

Schedule appointments or meetings:

“Alexa, add ‘dentist appointment’ to my calendar.”

“Alexa, schedule lunch with Mom tomorrow at 2pm."

“Alexa, schedule a meeting with John.”

“Alexa, move my meeting with John."

“Alexa, join my meeting.”

“Alexa, end my meeting."

“Alexa, I’m running late."

Manage or change your calendar:

“Alexa, move 'dentist appointment' from 3pm to 5pm.”

Manage your email:

“Alexa, check my email.”

“Alexa, open my email.”

“Alexa, read my emails.”

“Alexa, reply to this email.”

“Alexa, delete this email.”

“Alexa, archive this email.”

“Alexa, mark this email as unread.”

“Alexa, flag this email.”



Whenever you have any important events or tasks you don’t want to forget, Alexa can make sure to remind you at the correct time, and can even send a reminder to your mobile phone in case you’re away from your device.

Just ask:

“Alexa, remind me to call mom on Saturday at 2pm.”

“Alexa, remind me to take the laundry out in 30 minutes."

“Alexa, remind me to walk the dog every day at 6pm."



Every Alexa account comes with shopping and to-do lists. Use your voice to add items, then access those lists by voice or in your Alexa app. You can also access your Alexa lists in other popular mobile apps such as, AnyList, and Todoist. Learn more about lists, or just ask:
