About the Author

Daniel J. Siegel, M.D., is clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, founding co-director of the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center, and executive director of the Mindsight Institute. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, he is the author of the New York Times bestseller, Brainstorm; coauthor of two classic parenting books, Parenting from the Inside Out (with Mary Hartzell, M.Ed.) and The Whole-Brain Child (with Tina Payne Bryson); and author of Mindsight and the internationally acclaimed professional texts, The Mindful Brain and The Developing Mind. Dr. Siegel keynotes conferences and presents workshops throughout the world. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

Tina Payne Bryson, Ph.D. is the co-author (with Dan Siegel) of two New York Times Best Sellers—THE WHOLE-BRAIN CHILD and NO-DRAMA DISCIPLINE—each of which has been translated into dozens of languages, as well as THE YES BRAIN and THE POWER OF SHOWING UP and THE BOTTOM LINE FOR BABY. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Connection, a multidisciplinary clinical practice in Southern California. Dr. Bryson keynotes conferences and conducts workshops for parents, educators, and clinicians all over the world, and she frequently consults with schools, businesses, and other organizations. An LCSW, Tina is a graduate of Baylor University with a Ph.D. from USC. The most important part of her bio, she says, is that she’s a mom to her three boys. Como padre de dos niños siempre estoy preocupado de darle la mejor de las educaciones y eso pasa también por conocer cómo funciona psicológicamente el niño.

Saber qué hacer cuando "entran en barrena" y no hay forma de pararles. Evitar pegarles ni gritarles, etc.

En el libro se explica con muchos ejemplos cómo actuar en cada situación.

Como positivo os diría que gracias al libro podemos transformar los "malos rollos" diarios en oportunidades para mejorar la relación con nuestros hijos y su conocimiento del mundo.

Como negativo, sucede con todos los libros escritos por gente de USA, muy repetitivo. Explican 12 ideas y las repiten muchas veces, tal vez demasiadas.

Si eres padre/madre/tutor o simplemente te interesa conocer mejor la psicología infantil, este es tu libro.

Es un libro increíble y muy digerible.
Este libro sustenta que hay un por que de las acciones emocionales del niño de manera neuronal, explica como funciona en el cerebro de manera general y como es con los niños, como ayudarles a controlarse y por que les pasa que duran mucho algunos "berrinches" o por que no pueden superar ciertas situaciones, todo esto es explicado de una manera muuuy digerible y con ejemplos.
Realmente me hubiera gustado tener este libro en mis manos años atras, pero aun así me esta ayudando muchisimo!
Si eres padre, educador, nany o te relacionas con niños este libro te ayudara muchisimo y te facilitará mucho!!
Realmente es un tesoro que no se por que no supe de el antes.
