My wife and son painted the planets. My son and I did all the strings. This was a great family bonding project. Setting up the strings and balancing the planets evenly takes a little trial and error, but overall, it was a fun project that looks great and got my son off the Xbox. Takes time to paint, let dry, paint again, let dry, and then hang...

Kids Loved It

Fun little project, my kids loved it.…

Kids lived it!

This was easy to put together and not too messy!

How long does this kit take to assemble and dry?

With my litrle brother, 7 years old, only 20 to 30 minutes. You can let the kid paint the planets, but make sure to do it a little bit fast, since the paint dries fast. To avoid thar, simply put the brush on water whenever you change colors.

Your kids will love it!

My son LOVED this model.

A must for kids!

My daughter was super excited! She’s in second grade but is at a academic level of a 4th grade.

Kids love it

Had one of these when I was a kid, thought I'd gift this to my 9-yr old science loving little sister and she loved it too!…

Fun with kids

My son and I had such a great time doing this. We had a very successful outcome with all of the crystals. We actually made one large one, 2 medium ones and used the last of the stuff to make 4 small ones. We were very patient and let these sit way up in a cupboard, untouched for almost twice as long as suggested. I think this helped with our positive outcome.…

Where can I get the instructions?

If they weren't in box...look on YouTube. Not hard and if you follow directions, kids love them.

Are the crystals real?

The crystal is real and it those grow...it is fragile so not good for little kids....it is cool watching them grow

Kids loved it

Its pretty easy to follow instructions, it works as advertise

Kid friendly

Great product. Fun

pretty awesome set.

Do you who have purchased this agree with the age recommendation? It's 10 and up. I have a very interested 6 year old.

I belive that as a family project it can be used with a 6 year old. I'd get some gloves for the kids to wear and alow them to add the crystal compounds. When it comes to measuring boiling water, I'd keep that as the adults job, no matter the age the rest is just patience and waiting. Instruct the child not to touch the containers once crystal compounds are added. I would have the adult shine a flashlight on containers daily allowing the child to see but not touch, when reached desired size , (global again) for kids I would let them rinse it off that could be fun for them. Like unveiling a hidden treasure.

Can you grow these on any surface? Thanks in advance.

They are actually grown in the container provided. A flat surface where they won't be disturbed for 7 days is ideal. We put wax paper under them in case they grew over container(which they did). While growing we put a flash light behind them to see them grow. I've gotten these for my kids & now all my Grandkids. Just know, that you make them all at once. Read all directions first for each size. Have Fun!

Fun for kids and adults

I love this game. I bought the Junior version when my son was in pre-school and then bought the original game when he was in Kindergarten. It's challenging for the entire family and a lot of fun. Teaches critical thinking, patience, and perseverance as well.

Fun for kids and adults

This game is great for children and adults. It's fun playing it together or by yourself. My son (6 yo) quickly moved from beginner to the advanced cards. The advanced and expert cards take a bit of time. It's perfect to bring on long car trips or plane rides and convenient given the travel pouch this comes with.…

We have the junior version for my kids (8,6,4,1) and the love it. Is it worth getting this version??

No clue what the difference is between them! Kids love this game!

Is this a good game for kids with Asperger's? My nephews, 8 and 10 years old are on the autism spectrum & I wonder if this game would be appropriate

Because Asperger kids are so smart, I think they would enjoy this game-it challenges without social interaction necessary.

For the kid who loves a challenge

I bought this for my bright 5 year old nephew, thinking we could set up some simple puzzles before starting on the cards. However, he started right in on the cards and loved it. The difficulty progression of the cards is a great idea. His parents love that it's a one-player game and I love that I gave him a game that challenges his thinking.

Fun for both kids and adults

My elderly dad and I enjoyed solving each puzzle (about 40 total) and competing to see who can finish all of the puzzles. It has different levels from beginner to expert/advanced (I can't remember now since it's been awhile since we played). My daughter is also very good at it.

Kids and grown ups love it!

Great screen free game! The increasingly difficult levels make it great for all ages! Great portable size and travel pouch too!

Approximately how long does it take to work through one puzzle? I teach 4th grade and thought this would be a fun "free time" activity.

We love this game. All the kids gather around to play it. Get the one with the travel case to keep all the pieces in. There are cards 1-40 starting at easy to more difficult. The hardest one takes me about 12 minutes to do- as an adult! I'd say 5-10 minutes depending on the child and you'll see some kids whip through them- kids who like patterns/ puzzles and others who really struggle. It's one of our favorites. My second grader is a puzzle kid who can do them all but enjoys each challenge.

is it ok for 15 year old

I would recommend the non-beginner one. The adults in my family are addicted to it as well as all the kids. Would recommend. All the Think Fun games are great.

Kid loved it and the instruction was easy enough for them.

Thoughts on sc-100 vs. beginner for a 6 year old? afaict, diffs are: sc-100 has more parts and more projects; beginner has easier diagrams

Depends on the kid. My 6 year old nephew loves the larger one and builds stuff all the time!

This gift can be given to either a girl or boy. That's what's great about it--for any savvy or determined kid!

Kids LOVED IT!

This was a huge hit with the kids!…All of the kids in my homeschool community loved this toy as an addition to our studies about space missions. I am glad we bought a couple extra packs of the rockets b/c the kids were in lining up for their turns. This held up well again 60 kids trying their stomp several times each.…

Can this be used indoors?

No the rockets go very high, that is the thrill of it for the kids

Can you launch just one or do they both have to be launched at the same time to work?

There are two launch pads. You could just do one but it is fun to "compete" with two kids/people doing it simultaneously. Very popular toy

Kids love it

Great for more than one child to play with. Slightly unstable but not too bad; works best on pavement. Would buy again.

Kids loved it at my nephew's bday party.…

Great gift for younger kiddos! They love it!

I see on the "single" stomp rocket reviews that younger children, ages 3-4, could enjoy this just as easily as older kids and even adults. Would you say this model would also be fun for a physically-adept 3-yr-old?

We bought the single one with refills for Christmas for our 3 grandchildren with a total of 6 rockets - 2 for each. They are 5, 4, and not quite 3. The only problem with the middle and younger one is remembering that you can adjust the stand thereby adjusting the trajectory of the rocket. Other than that they all love it.

Would this work even in the winter with snow on the ground?

Have not tried it in snow but likely would work. Not sure how the "pads" that you jump on would hold up in extreme cold. They appear sturdy but possibly could crack if jumped on in extreme cold. Safety could be a concern. Grandsons take a running start to jump on pads to see how far the rockets will launch. Probably not a good idea with snow on the ground though. In normal conditions this toy is sturdy & the kids love it. I appreciate the easy set up & not a lot of parts & pieces to keep up with. I recommend it but not sure about snowy conditions.

What age group is this designed for?

We gifted this for two different 6 year old birthday parties and it was a hit for both kids!

GREAT FOR KIDS!

My grandkids, ages 3, 5 & 7 absolutely loved and still love this kit. The seeds grew quickly and I'm not sure how faithful they were with watering once they took it home, but they say the 'plants' are growing. Definitely buy with confidence!

The kid liked it!

Works like it suppose to! It grows!

Great for kids!

Awesome kit, my kids live it and are excited to watch it grow more each day.

Wonderful fun and project for kids!

My Granddaughter, who is 4 loved her Terrarium! She had so much fun building it. Now I just hope it grows!

Kids Loved it

kids loved this kit is easy to assemble and it actually works it grew so high that we had to trim it and it was a beautiful experience

Fun for kids

My 7 year old loved it. It takes some time for it to grow and we have to take it out of his room in the morning so it can get some sun, but it was fun to design and after it started growing he seems to enjoy looking at it.
