Must have if you’re a photographer

Amazing ipad/iPhone accessory a must have in my humble opinion, specially I edit a lot on Lightroom cc for iOS and this is a time saver instead of going through iTunes and syncing, this is just plug and play and boom you’re photos on your device just click transfer, the only down side for me that I’m using Sony A7iii and the videos get saved in folder and in another folder so it doesn’t read it, it only reads one folder destination not more but can easily be fixed in windows just cut that folder out.. for that price it’s amazing

Will this work with an iPad Pro (2018) with usb C port?

Hello, Yes, the Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) is compatible with the iPad Pro (2018) which has the USB-C port. Best regards, Jay Lilley // Focusrite Technical Support Engineer

Does it still work with ipad on usb camera kit?

Hi, Whilst the Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen is not officially tested or supported on iOS devices, as it is a class compliant interface, I would expect it to work with iOS devices. Whether you need a USB Camera Connection Kit will depend on the port you have on your iPad. If you have a lightning port, you will need a powered USB hub and a USB camera connection kit. If you have an iPad Pro with a USB-C port, you will need a USB-C to USB-C cable or a USB-C to USB-A cable and an Apple USB to USB-C adaptor as per this article: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360002662100-iOS-iPad-Pro-USB-C-Compatibility Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support

I purchased this for use with ipad. Did i buy the wrong thing?

Hello, The Scarlett Solo can be connected directly to the newer iPad Pro models using a USB C to C cable, but if you have an iPad that uses a Lightning connector then you will also need an official Apple Camera Connection Kit (or Lightning to USB adapter) and potentially a powered USB hub to power the device if your iPad doesn't provide enough to this. The Scarlett range is not officially tested on iOS but is Class Compliant so we would expect the Scarlett Solo should work using the Core Audio driver built into iOS. Best regards, Jay Lilley // Focusrite Technical Support Engineer

How many watts ( = volts * amps ) does the 2i2 (3rd gen) draw over usb? if i know this, then i can calculate how long i can power it from an ipad.

Hi, Whilst the Scarlett 3rd gen is not tested or supported for use with iPad, as it is a class-compliant interface it should work. If you have an iPad with a lightning connector, you will need to power the unit using a powered USB hub, then connect the powered USB hub to an Apple Camera Connection Kit and then connect that to the iPad. If you have an iPad Pro with a USB-C port, the port will likely provide enough power to the 2i2 as per this article: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360002662100-iOS-iPad-Pro-USB-C-Compatibility Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support

Can I use it with iPhone 11 or iPad 6th generation?

Hello, Though the Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) is not officially tested with this, we would expect this to work as the Scarlett is a Class Compliant device and will use the iOS' built-in audio driver. You will need to connect this via an Apple Lightning to USB adapter and you may need to connect this via a powered USB hub to ensure that the device receives sufficient power. Best regards, Jay Lilley // Focusrite Technical Support Engineer

My question is that if instead of pc or mac can I use iPhone 11 or iPad 6th generation to record?

Hello, Though the Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) is not officially tested with this, we would expect this to work as the Scarlett is a Class Compliant device and will use the iOS' built-in audio driver. You will need to connect this via an Apple Lightning to USB adapter and you may need to connect this via a powered USB hub to ensure that the device receives sufficient power. How does this connect to iPhone?

Get the camera connector from Apple. It has a USB connector that powers your iPhone or iPad and also runs your scarlet. Getting a USB multiport is a good idea. The scarlet is run by a USB three not two.

Can i use this for my ipad, garageband?

This device can be used to send audio into your Ipad and play audio from your ipad via the USB port if it has one. The earlier models of ipads do not have USB ports and they would requite a USB adapter.

Is it ios compatible? Can i connect it to my Ipad and send audio to my ios music app through this audio interface?

Is this compatible with iPhone/iPad if used in conjunction with a usb to lightning adapter?

No... You would have to have a lightning adapter on one side, and RCS's on the other.... Hope this helps... One side of your lightning cable is USB... Why not just plug your phone or IPad directly into your computer or laptop??? Your phone would then be like an external hard drive or thumb drive... You would go into explor to find it... Hope this helped .... Blessings...

Is it ios compatible? Can i connect it to my Ipad and send audio to my ios music app through this audio interface?

You should be able too. It is basic and easy to use.

How do I get the Software?

Behringers lousy software is available thru their website. It's a plug n play device so you really shouldn't need software unless your on PC. It's a great bang for the buck. I wouldn't use it for mastering or any major mix downs I've had two go bad but if u just need a simple audio interface it's worth it. Mine Works good on an iPad iPhone for simple recording no problems with a MacBook or Windows XP without behringers software drivers. If your in the market for a really good USB audio interface I highly recommend the Mackie Onyx BlackJack there about $150

Great for performing but haven't had any luck with recording

I've had this thing for about 8 months and it is amazing when I connect it to my iPad. …So this thing is a great solution for a guitarist if you perform live and don't want to carry around a bunch of gear, you can just plug into your iPad and use Biasfx, but if you want to do legitimate recording, you might want to explore other options.

Is this easier to use on a Samsung phone or an iPad?

Easy on a I pad. It was made more for apple. Than android

I don’t have an ipad. will this plug into my windows pc and allow me to record in reaper? and can i use the tonebridge app in reaper?

I don't think so. The iRig connects to the device using the audio jack, it doesn't have a "normal" data connection you can use for your PC. The workaround I've found is using it with my iPad (or any other compatible device, maybe your smartphone? it works for several android phones), plugging my amplifier to the amp out and connecting the headphones line-out to my audio interface line-in to record (it works with FLS so it should work with Reaper or any other DAW). Thing is, I already had an audio interface, I think you want the iRig to be your audio interface. In that case I suggest you look for the other, or newer, versions of the iRig, I've seen some that do exactly what you need it to do. TL;DR The cheap version doesn't work for you, look for the other versions.

Amazing

I’ve been using the irig to play my guitar through my iPad Pro.…I’ve been playing it through GarageBand, Tonebridge, and Cubase for iPad and it is working great though all of them.…
