A neat way to keep pets safe around banisters
We've had this plastic banister guard for several months now, and it works incredibly well. Sure, it's a little noisy when my toddler bangs on it like a drum. And it does show fingerprints. But it's much better than the alternative--having a little one get stuck between banister rails or even fall through. The plastic is also stiff and sturdy enough to use as a cat door.…

Depending on the pet I would say it is possible. The mesh is a nylon netting so if your pet likes to chew on things they would most likely be able to chew this.

You can't even see it. Used it to protect our puppy Chihuahua. Only took me about 15 minutes to put up. Very worth the peace of mind.
Great for what it's designed for. Easily stands up to 25 pound dog pawing at it (and very will marking.) For those who complain it is translucent and not clear... peel the protective layer off.
There are different sized rolls. This stuff is awesome. I would recommend to anyone. Protects both children and pets. You can also cut it.

Purchase this product to line the railings of my 2nd floor apartment balcony so my French Bulldog puppy couldn’t sneak through the rails. It worked perfectly! He’s able to run around, and play with his toys on the porch and I don’t have to worry about anything going overboard. The length was a bit longer than listed so it really worked out perfectly! The zip ties and eyelets provided made installation a breeze.…
Super durable and easy to use. I needed a clear fencing to prevent my small dog from trying to go through the balcony columns in our high rise condo. The material is durable and isn't too large of an eye sore either!
This netting is great for porches to keep pets and kids safe! It is tied on the porch by zip ties so it would not work as a door way.
The mesh is not meant to bear weight, just to provide a barrier to keep children or pets from getting through a railing. It's study enough for it's intended purpose.
We bought this so our cats can hang out on our balcony without 24/7 supervision and they loved it. They spent most of the summer hanging outside, enjoying the breeze. It's made of barely opaque, white plastic, but that it pretty easy to work with and trim to match. You really can't even see it from afar.

These little rubber-back cups are great. Sometimes with pressure mounted gates they may move and shift a bit where they meet the wall. But these little cups solved that problem for me. Well worth buying.
