This product was recommended by our veterinarian for a dog that has separation anxiety and barks too much when we are not at home. Too early to tell if it's working for the dog, but the product is a good price compared to the vet's office. It has no odor and is easy to put on the dog.

This product works wonders. Our Springer puppy developed an issue with impulse control early (before age 6 months). Due to her uncontrolled aggression, we were afraid that we would need to put her down. The D.A.P. collar helps to calm her down. She is also on other medication, but the collar completes the treatment.

Can a diffuser for a cat and for a dog be used in the same area?

Yes they can! Because the ThunderEase is species specific, your dog(s) will only notice the ThunderEase for Dogs and your cat(s) will only notice the Cat version.

How large an area will this difuser cover? Does the dog have to be close to it?

My Mama lives in a 582 sf apt & it works wonderfully! You can move it to different areas where your furkid hangs out, or buy 2 diffusers if you have large home. *This stuff really works!

Great for shelter dogs!!!!

I buy this for my local shelter to help minimize the stress in the kennels. This helps alot!

It works

I think it is really helping my dog during our summer storms

My vet suggested these items for my dog.

…I saw a remarkable change in the dog's behavior within hours of using the product. They were in no way objectionable to my nose, only the dog could smell them and they did the trick. Calmed the dog while in the house.

Calm dogs

Works great with our dogs

Did it meet your needs? Did it work?

Yes. It has worked for my dog.

Does anyone know if Adaptil works for territorial pee-ing? (neutored 2 year old dog started this strange behavior...) - thanks!

I don't see it affecting peeing, just calms anxiety.

Works great for my dog

Works great for my dog.

Helps keep our dog happy.

Our vet recommended this product. It works.

Dog seems calmer

Our poodle was rescued from a puppy mill and has always had a little anxiety. She seems to be calmer and likes to lay in our laps more.

Can I use the diffuser in addition to essential oils (lavender and chamomile)?

Hello, Yes, you can use your essential oils and also have the Adaptil Diffuser plugged in for your dog. Thank you.

Does this plug work in the US

You simply plug the prongs, which you can't really see from this visual. Make sure you have the liquid screwed in securely to the diffuser plug and hopefully you will notice a difference in your dog(s) disposition. We have a pure bred beagle and a Besenji mix. We have definitely noticed a difference. We were told by our vet that it might not work for all dogs, but worth a try.

The Adaptil products really seem to be helping my dog with her separation anxiety.

helps relax hyper dog

This spray has a noticeable calming effect on our excitable hound. It does not completely change her, but it really takes the edge off for what would normally be stressful situations for her.

Calms Dog Down

works well on his bandanna when going to the vet or when fireworks are going off in the neighborhood. would recommend this product to anyone with a dog with anxiety.

Can humans smell this at all?

Yes. I spray this on a bandanna for my dog. I do not put it on him, just in the back area of the van where he rides. When I first spray it on, I can smell it. Akin to rubbing alcohol. Smell goes away fast. The spray does seem to make him more comfortable while riding in the van.

Dog approved!!

These things are the best!!! My puppy gets anxious sometimes and can't calm down sometimes and these work the best for her!! And she loves the taste of them!

Does this work for all sized dogs? I see other brand's of dog calming treats have different formulas for different sized dogs?

I use it for both my dogs, who are 20lbs apart in size. I give one 2 and one 3. You'll figure out the right amount for your dog.

Does work for dog that has scare of fireworks?

I have not tried it with fireworks but it helps my dog with thunder and lightning

A calm dog

Great treats for calming dogs down a bit.

Dog calming

I’ve tried many calming products for my Great Danes, but this one works better than any other. Just calms them down doesn’t make them sleepy.

Dogs enjoy!

So far, my dogs seem to like the product! Give each dog one a day and appears to be working to reduce their anxiety when we leave.

will this help a dog who is terified of baths

I'm not sure, but I do believe it would. It really does help calm our dogs down for a while when storms roll in.....

Does this product work on older dogs joint relief?

I have a 1 1/2 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound that I use this for. It definately takes the edge off of his puppy behavior. I use glucosamine for my older dogs for joint relief. I found that very helpful. It's over the counter too! Good luck!

It works if you know how to use it!

I’m fairly happy with the results I’m seeing with the use of the adaptil collar for my anxious dog. She’s 4 and when not shaking from anxiety she sometimes causes dog fights in our house.…This definitely helps a situation but certainly training will be a way to help your dog’s anxiety/barking/biting/etc.…

D.A.P. Collar for Dogs-Wonderful

This product works wonders. Our Springer puppy developed an issue with impulse control early (before age 6 months). She is also on other medication, but the collar completes the treatment.

Dog is calmer

Was not sure it would work, but he is definitely calmer!!

Calmer Dogs!!

It seem to work good with my dogs.

do they work on aggressive dogs

It says that it can. You will need to watch your dog closely at first. It releases the smell of another dog which could actually increase a dog's aggression. But it is worth a try, I think. It was a good add on for the training/behavior program I was already using.

Is this good for a 15 pound dog?

Yes sir Rusty sir, my dog is a yorkie/maltese mix and he is the reason we bought it and it worked. Before buying this stuff I didn't believe that it could work, but it actually made a difference that night. I'm not just saying that either, there was an honest noticeable difference.

Great for anxious dogs

Our 2 year old rescue has been skiddish and nervous around new people since we adopted him at 5 months of age. Our vet recommended this and it has worked wonders!! He’s calm and friendly instead of high-strung and scared like he used to be! Highly recommend trying this!

Works great for my dog

This collar, in addition to calming chews, really helps my high anxiety Boston Terrier that has heart problems. She is a very anxious little thing and this collar seems to help her greatly.

Zen for dogs!

This is a marvelous product for your nervous, aggressive, fearful or otherwise jittery dog. I have used these on my reactive cattle dog through his adolescence and into his second year, and it has helped immensely with his training. …I get about a month out of each collar, but if my dog is in the sun or rain a lot the collars degrade sooner. You definitely need to remember to take the collar off if your dog goes swimming, and don't leave it on the bench in the sun by the pool like I did (an expensive mistake)! I'm hoping I won't need to collar my dog forever, but for the time being he is an Adaptil dog.

My adopted hound mix gets very aggressive toward other dogs while on walks, but not in dog park. Would this help us to walk in peace?

Possably. That depends on the rute cause of your dogs aggression. If he is truly anxious then it might help but you would still need to put work into the cause. Giving him treats when other dogs are near could help make a positive association. Also remember that dogs do not naturally greet eachother face to face like they do when on a leash. A face to face posture is aggressive to dogs. They prefer to say hi face to butt in a circle, which they usually do better off leash at a dog park. This dap collar is a wonderful tool to help with anxiety but not a cure and will not help with other issues. Good luck!

Will the collar help ease the dog while he is at a kennel for a week?

It might. I would bring the dog to the kennel a couple of times before the stay and see if the kennel will take him for couples of hours so that he gets used to place. The collar will help with a stressful situation. The female pheromones in the collar is what helps the dog (especially a young dog) to calm down and that it is safe situation. Note that depending on the situation and the age of the dog can be different. They are a pack animal and they have to be made welcome by the alternate pack. Good Luck
