The plunger is OK but when you've been working up a sweat with the plunger and the clog still isn't getting pushed through, you'll wish you had one of these! This snake is easy to use and works like a charm. I never used one before and I was able to use it without looking at the instructions with absolute success in minutes. This is one of my favorite household items now!

Worked for a clogged shower drain. Pretty sure there was hair from the silent film era.

I can't believe how well this work, pulling huge clumps of my and my daughters' thick curly hair from the bathroom sink and shower. Much more effective than the Drano we typically use and much gentler on our septic system. I definitely wouldn't use the tool more than once, but the price is so reasonable and the tool so effective, I'll definitely buy again.
this is a must have for all to have in their homes
I have. It got the higher up clogs. There were other clogs further down near the trap and I ended up having to buy a drain auger at Home Depot. I recommend you do that since these are only good for one or two uses. The drain augers are reusable and can get all the way to the trap and beyond.
this works great, I thought by the reviews it may not fit in our drains (mobile home) but it did. and clears the gunk out with a quickness

Great pricing on two ss pick-up tools with 5 drain snakes. Appropriately named (snake) as they always seem to have slithered away by themselves when I needed to use the pick up tools. as far as the orange drain cleaning tools, well beware when using them as not only will they pull up some disgusting looking stuff out of your drains but also splatter the black gook allover the bathroom! Be sure to use an old towel of cloth over the drain when removing the snake.
