Finally, a low chair that is easy to get in and out of with out having to crawl on all fours in order to stand up. It is easy to carry in its strapped bag and easy to fold and unfold. Looks great too!! Highly recommend.

We bought two of these chairs for a Ragnar trail race- we needed to save on space and not worry about heavy chairs so these were perfect! They come in a small, easy to carry bag- but once they are set up (takes about 1 minute max) they let you sit just as high as anyone with a bulky chair. Highly recommend
I used it to go camping and for the beach and so far it's not broken and it has been useful, so I can't complain.

I don't know. I've never had a camp chair before. All I know is that it is MUCH better than the generic chairs you find as the grocery store and is very sturdy and comfortable.

The wife and I bought these for the beach and our first day out with them was an all day affair. We followed the advice found in former reviews and kept the chairs out of the water, used the armrests to stand up and sit down, and still really enjoyed these chairs. We both had a couple hour nap in them, sat for hours listening to the waves and the birds, and never had a single complaint about anything. I'm short, but heavy, and I felt confident the chairs were going to hold my bulk with no problem. The wife loved hers, too.…

This served its purpose well. I needed it to be lightweight to put in a backpack yet sturdy enough to offer some relief to my back when we stopped. It’s nit super sturdy so probably won’t last a really long time, but it was great for what we needed.

Lower than a normal lawn chair. Legs are small, they would sink in the sand. These are made for lightweight, hiking, camping..
The front legs are approximately 9 inches long and the back legs are approximately 8 inches long. The crossbar that runs horizontally between the left legs and right legs is approximately 7.5 inches off of the ground putting the bottom of the seat about 9 inches off of the ground when you are sitting in it. The seat is very comfortable with your feet flat on the ground or with your legs extended like a recliner and seems very stout (I'm about 250 lbs and have well over a dozen nights camping with this chair with no visible signs of wear and tear.

Yes. It is a little shorter than a standard camp chair, so the height would be perfect for kids that age. It can be a little tricky to set up the first few times (for young kids) but if you're there to help, no problem. These chairs do lean back a bit, but overall, we have found them comfortable and they really do fit in a backpack. Great option for hiking or anywhere you have to carry gear.

I don't use it in sand, so I don't know. I do live near the coast and I've been taking my full size camp chair to the beach instead. since the poles are painted and aluminum, I'd have concerns the sand might etch around the feet. my full size one is plastic coated and can probably weather the sand/salt more easily at the beach.

These chairs are fantastic. I am a not a very svelte fellow so I wasn't sure the chairs would hold my weight but they do with no problems at all. My 6ft 220lb frame feels very safe and comfortable sitting in this chair. The chair poles almost set themselves up automatically when you open them up due to the internal Bungie cords. The canvas seat is super heavy duty as are the re-enforced corner pole pockets.…
The legs have 3 height adjustments, and each adjusts individually so you can be level on uneven ground. The lowest setting is appropriate for outdoor concerts, the highest is not quite as high as a standard, much heavier, folding camp chair.
I personally have not but there are 4 basic things that this chair offers , size, weight, packablity, and durability based on the first three things it's not indestructible but serves it's purpose well as long as user dosent exceed it's weight capacity.

The chair worked great. We have used the chair on our favorite mountain trail and camp which contains about 2 miles of steep inclines. This chair is the best since it is very sturdy, compact, and LIGHTWEIGHT!
You are going to sit in your fishing kayak on this chair? Why? I have a Hobie Mirage Outback and can't imagine why anyone would need this chair in their fishing kayak, but I'm sure it would fit should one want to. It is a great one pound camp chair, very sturdy, and adjustable legs for height. Just used mine in at Yellowstone lake backcountry, but it was on land camp sites. Great sturdy packable lightweight chair, even if it isn't in a kayak.
