Hi, Great idea!!!:) yes, you could use markers in this particular material and it will dry, however it wont be really noticeable. Papyrus is beautiful i would recommend using it for this project the kids would love it, papyrus is really unique; since the markers wont really show on papyrus i would recommend using construction paper on top of it, i bet the kids are going to find it very entertaining and might even feel proud of their choice in color when their bookmark is completed, papyrus is such a beautiful material you wont need anything else to make the bookmarks look great. Good luck!!:)
There is a dino skeleton inside the kit, it allows kids to put the clay into the mold, it is super easy.
It's a block of plaster in which is hidden plastic "bones" of a tiny dinosaur. Kids uses the provided digging tools to break apart the "block", revealing the "bones" which they then can assembled. It's a practicing way to peform as paleontologist.
I didn't try to use on a printer however they are wonderful for drawing and stencil work. The kids just loved this activity.
