…Outside of that, I highly recommend this screen!
I originally purchased this to use in my backyard. It worked great indoors. I tied off the 4 corners to use outdoors. With any amount of wind it would move. Others have mentioned building a frame which I'm sure is possible and would work. I opted to purchase this instead. Elite Screens Yard Master 2, 120 inch Outdoor Projector Screen with Stand 16:9, 8K 4K Ultra HD 3D Fast Folding Portable Movie Theater Cinema 120" Indoor Foldable Easy Snap Projection Screen, OMS120H2 I will still use the original one for indoor use but feel this one is better suited for the backyard.
We don't use a stand. We have a 10 ft canopy that we attach ours to...works perfect
This worked out great. The original plan was to hang it down from the upstairs windows, but then I realized the deck light fixture and exhaust fan outlet were in the way. So after spending $80 on pvc, I created a frame for the screen. Then the kids wanted to watch the movie with the woods in the background, so we ended up attaching the screen to the frame, and then attaching the frame to two trees, due to the night being a little windy. My advice is to make sure you know ahead of time exactly where the movie will and can be watched.…
I've got it strung up in a PVC frame. Works fine without any backing. It is fairly light so will act like a flag in the wind if you just hang it from one side
You can tie them down to piles or something. We use it outside in our fence sonwe out screws in permanently.
Color-white, I use it outside, great quality.
As Sellers, we cannot recommend any particular way of securing the screen against wind, unfortunately. However, if you get a closer look at the customers' reviews, you can get a hint of how you can protect the Projector against the breeze. But please, be extremely careful and take precautions. Hope this advice helped you. Wish you all the best and feel free to inquire more! PropVue.
Hi There! Thanks for your question! On the plain surface and with no wind distraction the screen should be standing still with no movements. However, if you use it outside, please, beware that wind is capable of blowing to the PVS fabric and affect the projector screen like a sail canvas. In this case, we strongly recommend to stand it against the solid wall or fence. It will help to prevent projector screen from falling. Another advise that we can give is to purchase ropes for the edges that can be dug or hanged to the surface and hold the edges still. And the last suggestion: the corner edges of the screen are quite wide, thus you can hang some weight like a backpack or sandbags on both of those sides. This trick was advised by some of our customers in the reviews, but we as a company cannot recommend such a way of the protection in the manual. Please, take precautions. Thanks again for asking and feel free to ask more! Ask the best, PropVue.
…I noticed a great improvement in viewing movies outside using thsi screen , it dos not get a crease nor wrinkle, once you have your hooks mounted set up of the screen should only take about 5 mintues, its advisabel to take it down and not let it out in the weather, if you want to use it inside of course you can leave it up permenantly. overall a very good product for a very good price
Hi, Thank you for asking. Those measurements are outside to outside of the frame. The viewing area is 58 7/8" x 104 1/2"
Hi, thank you for asking. We recommend putting the speakers outside the border of the screen with this material. We recommend the STR-169120-WAB to place your speakers behind the screen material.
Hi, Thank you for asking. We have seen people run LED strips around the outside of the screen material on the back of the frame. The strips do go under the mounting brackets and under the support bar when you do this. But there is room to run it this way.
I hung mine up on the ceiling using a couple screw hooks and some chain. Very easy and makes it so I can take it in and out easily. I plan on trying some movies and games outside in the evenings over the summer. This screen is really nice and sturdy.
Hello Jasmine, Thank you for your inquiry. It will depend to some extent on your projector. If you have a high quality projector, it should work fine. Although it could still be washed out by the daylight. Thank you for your question! Joanna G.
