Yes, it can be used with a car. Tips: ① If without wifi, Relohas small camera can also record video and save it to micro SD card for your outdoor recording ② This mini camera can build hotspot, you also can use this camera hotspot to check the real-time video even if you don't have wifi. ( NO WiFI NEED)
The cam is a USB powered device. USB is about 5VDC while house voltages are between 100-240VAC depending on the global location. If you have a cell phone charger with a USB port, you can charge this cam. I used the cam in my car/house in California (120VAC) and continue to use it in my car/house in Asia (240VAC) with USB adapters that have an input range of 100-240 VAC and an output of 5VDC. To be clear, this cam (like most devices with USB ports) must never be exposed to any AC voltages directly, no matter the global location.
Yes, you can install it in car to protect it.
The camera does heat up while charging in a car using a USB port and cable. But it is not too hot to handle. I mounted 2 cameras in my Tesla Model 3 to cover blind spots from the factory-installed cameras. The magnetic mounts with pressure-sensitive tape bases fall off in a hot car, so it is recommended to purchase mounts made for mounting cell phones or use high temperature tape on the mounts included with the camera.
Great customer service with prompt, helpful responses even on weekends - can use this in multiple scenarios (home, hotel, car) - only wish you didn't have to reset the device each time you move location - flexible mounting options - primary storage is on internal SD card (wish you could simultaneously record a stream to your SD card and phone).…
Sure! You can get this spy camera work in your car and you can plug to your car charger for continuous recording if needed. To leave the spy camera alone in your car, you need to insert a microSD card and then the spy camera will proceed with loop recording of microSD card by default once turned on. Get your phone connected to the hotspot of the mini wifi camera(you need to be near the camera and you will not be able to view or operate remotely due to no wifi network), on the App you can change the loop recording of microSD card to:- 1. Recording on Alarm but you need to turn on the motion detection first in the Alarm Config, then the mini wifi camera will start Motion Activated Recording; 2. Recording on Timing - Set start time and end time to get the camera to record; 3. You can even close the microSD card recording if you want.
Yes, you can. Please plug the camera to a portable power charger or USB charger to have it stay on if needed.
I bought the camera for security for my car and it worked so well that a couple of days later bought a second one. …Although it is not an outdoor camera I made a little shelter out of a black plastic cup and could still use the magnetic mount, powered from the car battery through the USB plug.…
…This is great for using the device as a dash cam in a car, in a hotel, or out in field away from routers. …It picks up an individual walking on the sidewalk about 100 meters away and cars going down the street about 150 meters away.…
The spy camera works if you install it inside your car. Insert a micro SD card, the spy camera will proceed with any of loop recording, motion activated recording and scheduled recording --- just set it up on the App as you need. Meanwhile, you can live stream but you need to be near the spy camera as without router WiFi you have to connect to the hotspot of the spy camera. Because the spy camera is of mini size and WiFi camera consumes more power than normal one, the built-in battery normally lasts about 60 minutes after fully charged. So you need to plug it to external power like power bank or car charger for continuous recording.
Yes, the mini camera still works if you install it inside your car. Insert a micro SD card, the spy camera will proceed with any of loop recording, motion activated recording and schedule recording --- just set it up on the App as you need. In the same time, you can live stream but you need to be near the mini camera as without router WiFi you have to connect to the hotspot of the mini camera. You can access the sd card to play or download the recordings on the App driectly. Because the built-in battery is subject to housing limitation for mini size camera and WiFi camera consumes more power than normal one. So you need to plug it to external power like power bank or car charger for continuous recording if needed.
Yes. It has an internal battery and doesn’t have to be connected to a power source to function.
This is a great little compact camera, although it does have its limitations, so be sure you know what you’ll be using it for before you purchase. It is a little involved to set up and get the hang of, but the directions are detailed and if you follow them you won’t have any trouble. The camera does not come with an SD card, and one is needed for the camera to work. I had to go out and buy one as I didn’t have a card on hand. I wish there was a live view option as I was hoping to use this in my backyard while my kids played.…
Definitely, I used it as a car camera. Its high resolution really amazing me.
The App MiniCamera 3.2 or 3.5 stars that I use will allow you to do that. It has an Motion Detection alarm that sends a signal/tone to your phone. Before you install any app read the section that tells you what it can do. The Apps look alike a Blue Square with the White Camera inside of it. Mine allows me to flip the view.
Sure. You can get this spy camera work in your car as long as the camera gets power from external power source if for long time working. If you want to record video, a SD card is needed.
