I think it would probably work good, especially on the bed. It has the opening for your tailbone, which is usually a plus after having a baby.
Yes it does and it has just the right level of cushy feel/cushiness. Yes it is also supportive. It's thankfully not firm like how the Tempur-Pedic memory foam bed mattresses are.

I do not have a sacral fracture but a severe sarcral pinched nerve and have been in the hospital with foot surgery the past 10 days. The charge nurse urged my family to bring my pillow to use in bed as the whole sacral area was getting very red. It is much better. At home it as fantastic too in my recliner. Hi, I have pain in the right side of my back and hip. I have trouble sitting longer than 10 minutes without severe pain that sends me to bed. I find this pillow very helpful to mitigate the pain. I bought three: one for each car and one for the house. I use it every day.

I have a Tempurpedic mattress and I lay this right on top when I"m in bed. It is more dense around the coccyx area, it's built up in that area. Personally the density is just right for me, sorry if this isn't helpful but I would've paid more for the relief and support I get from this pillow.

If you have a bed we are you can move it up and down, perhaps ,but this is more for a couch or a chair.
The product isn’t extremely thick. It removes pressure from the coccyx and alleviates the butt. Like a soft tempurpetic bed but for your caboose.

I'm going to sound like an old person when I write this, but I have never been so excited about an receiving orthopedic cushion as I was when I received this. The computer chair I just bought is a decent chair, and it fit my budget, but its not made to be sitting on for 8-10 hours at a time. My back and sciatic nerve has been killing me. My wife actually used this cushion. Based on what she told me, I believe it would work well for bed sores on a person’s bottom.
Not as soft as a feather pillow. I believe it is made from memory foam. I would probably say it is about medium density. It gives when you sit on it, retains its shape for a few seconds after you get up, then returns to its original shape. Mom uses it for her tail bone. After getting out of the hospital her tail bone was very tender from laying in bed for 2 weeks. This allowed her to be able to sit on the couch longer without the constant soreness. Even though she feels much better, she still uses it. My mom weighs about 130. I hope this helps with your decision.
