It is another appliance to cook the meat.
Absolutely. We have a smoker, and the probe and cable fit just fine as they quite small. Hope this helps.
Sure, that and a BBQ are the sort of applications it is designed for. I bought mine to use with my BBQ and my smoker.
Yes, I used mine in a smoker. Works just fine.
I use it in my smoker, one probe for the correct temp, the other for my brisket or pork shoulder. My husband bolted a metal strip on the side of the smoker with space in between so the ThermoPro would not get to hot. The smoker could get hot enough to damage it, I would recommend to try to keep it from getting to hot.
Mine came with a seperate clip holder for the smoker grates.
I've used it in a smoker. Easy to use and accurate.

Yes it can . Also in your BBQ pit or smoker too
Yes, I use this in my smoker with all different sizes of meat and it works good.
I recently purchased this meat thermometer set after our other, one that was purchased specifically for use in a smoker, bit the dust. …We primarily use this in our smoker, but will occasionaly use it in our large toaster oven/convection oven.... I used it in the smoker - and when I pulled the turkey out, I also inserted a regular, non-electronic thermometer. …It was fairly inexpensive, spot on with temperature, and works well in our smoker!
…I love cooking meats, whether it be in my oven, grill or smoker, but never had an accurate thermometer to read the proper temp of my meat.…As soon as the weather warms up, I'll put it to the test on the grill and smoker, but I have no doubts it will work magically!!
[[ASIN:B01LKRHW3E Digital Meat Thermometer, Habor Meat Thermometer Instant Read Thermometer Candy Thermometer with Super Long Probe for Kitchen BBQ Grill Smoker Meat Cooking Fry Food Candy]] This Digital Thermometer works great for me.…
Sorry, no I can't manually calibrate this model. But I can say that this model is pretty accurate, my husband uses a digital thermometer on his smoker, we use this model for quick grilling and he use used both one day on burgers and steaks and the instant read was dead on with the digital thermometer. My husband said it was a good thermometer for the price.
Dear Nancy, Thanks for taking time to post the question. The Habor thermometer does not have a clip. It is very sorry that some of the product features do not meet your needs. Thanks for the question. With Habor Advanced Sensitive Sensor Chip, it can control temperature resolution in 0.1℉. But it's not recommended to measure air temperature. For air temperature measurement, the Habor Portable Hygrometer Thermometer (ASIN: B072XHJLFD) would be a perfect choice. While this Habor Digital Meat Thermometers is an effective solution to achieve the most accurate temperature in a matter of seconds. Perfect for Kitchen, Indoor Grill Pan Cooking, Outdoor Cooking, BBQ, Liquid(such as Coffee,Tea,Homebrew,Milk,Bath Water,Boiling Water etc), Meat & Poultry (Such as Steak,Beef,Lamb,Pork,Chicken,Turkey,Fish), Candy, Food, Cake, Grill Smokers.
Sorry I don't know the answer to that. I use it on my Yoder smoker and it works incredibly well. It very well built.
It probably can. If you mean inserting the sensor into the meat while grilling it, I believe it would work just fine. We have used the thermometer with our smoker with good accuracy.
Yes, it works great in a smoker. That is exactly the application I used.
Absolutely. I have my tramsitter outside of the smoker, with the two probes going through the vents into the smoker, and the other in the meat. Then you can carry around the receiver. It will even beep if the temperature gets too hot or cold.
This digital thermometer is fantastic! It works very well and seems to be very accurate. So easy to use and I love the distance it allows between the sensor probes and the monitor. The high and low temp alarms are a very important feature too. It does cost a little more than others but I highly recommend it!…
That is up to you to program the monitor to whatever temperature you want. If you set your smoker to 250 degrees and want to know if temperature is +/- 25 degrees from the smoker's set temperature, then set your low temp alarm for 225 and your high temp alarm for 275. Alarm temperatures are adjustable, including for the food probe. It isn't difficult to do, just follow the instructions included in the box.
Yes. I keep it in my smoker all the time.
