Great for making sure your water is clean
Fantastic for keeping a two person camp in fresh clean water.
This is a good product that is great for camping and hiking.…
What a fine idea and great for camping.
Great for camping and emergency preparedness.
I run ultramarathons and we were required to bring a water filter on course so we could refill from streams. I liked the idea of just having a bottle I could stash and put into my vest pocket and be able to fill up and go. The 1.0L bottle ended up being way too big but what I LOVED about this product is that I was able to use the top with other soft flasks, so I just switched out the flask with one of my smaller ones. Super convenient to be able to do that! The filter was easy to clean and there were no issues drinking out of the top.
Great for making sure your water is clean
I bought this item for my nephew for his camping trip and he raves about the straw and how amazing it is
This is a great product and works as advertised. I purchased this bottle for my kids to use in Cambodia for two weeks. My kids are healthy and no sign of parasites or microorganisms from the unfiltered water.
Thanks for asking. No boiling water, the filter will do its job. You can drink from the river.
My husband purchased one for me which I took to India, and had no problems on a three week trip. Very convenient to refill, and much less expensive than buying water bottles!
Great for hiking and camping use
Great bottle for trekking, camping, etc.
Great quality and must have survival or camping accessorie
Awesome product - added to the camping supplies and the survival bag!
Worked well, used it camping for the weekend without issue.
Fantastic for keeping a two person camp in fresh clean water.
This filtration system was absolutely perfect for kayaking wilderness camping in the Sylvania Wilderness Area. We gathered water when out kayaking then hung it in a tree at our camp. The rate of filtration was fine - camping is a slow-paced activity anyway so it was perfect!…
Can't wait to go camping with this...…
Exelent product just set up camp next to a stream, fill the scrotum with water and hang it in a tree
My dad let me borrow his water filter (don't remember the brand) for camping quite a few times and it worked great.…
…You scoop up that cold mountain stream water, hang it up in a tree and go set up camp while gravity does the work for you.…
Took this bad boy camping at Baker Lake in Washington.…
…This is better for filling bottles at camp.…
Was a good product, just kinda slow.
This is a good product that is great for camping and hiking.…
Very easy to use and perfect for hiking, camping or back packing.…
It fit my already owned water bottles fine. It's easy to use and convenient. It does take a little bit of force to suck but once the filter is completely wet, its much easier. I did have a little bit of issues making sure the straw and cap stayed connected at first, but once I twisted it enough, it stayed just fine.
My boyfriend and I go hiking, camping, and rock hopping and this came in super handy when we were rock hoppping/camping!…
Great for travelling or camping.…
Got this for off grid camping.…
…Probably didn't NEED it, but we'll use it when camping anyway so I figured why not?…
…We use camping so we don’t have to carry water.
…Sadly on that day the few left will be on a permanent camping holiday, without the holiday part. So I have added this filter kit to my camping supply box.…
What a fine idea and great for camping.
Excellent product for Camping and Hiking , I keep one on me just in case.
Works great! Light and compact
Perfect camping item. River and pond water works well thru the filter. - Scottie
Yes, but I like it as a backup.
fast shipping, is perfect for camping, hiking
This thing works just as promised. You can drink out of the most murky nasty waters and it comes out clean and refreshing. Also I think it is awesome they donate to third world countries when you buy one. So please do you will not be disappointed!
Works, didnt get sick after drinking from a water stream
Yes, very nice product for camping
Yes you can, I use it when I go hiking and camping. I have 5 of these things, just in case. Great product
Great for camping and emergency preparedness.
Good product, seems well designed, my daughter cannot wait to go camping to use.
Perfect for multi day hikes and camping trips - I carry this in my big pack.
If you can't get clean water during the trip, unless you pump and fill something to then turn around and clean it in, I clean it when I return from my trip. I interpret "each use" to mean: I take it and camp/hike and come back. I see what you mean about every time you pump and fill something as being a "use". Haven't had any issues with having to wait until I can clean it in a kitchen. I just let it dry during camping trips to avoid potential mold growing.
The device is hand operated and gravity type hosing. No batteries. However, I do suggest purchasing the extra Inlet/outlet/ interior replaceable filters to double the amount of water available! Great purchase for anyone who camps or just wants to make sure you have clean water to drink!
Excellent filtration system. During a recent backcountry trip we ran out of water. All streams were dry. Finally my son found a water pool wr could use. We filtered 3 liters of water in no time, and no one got sick.…
Haven't used it. But my husband is impressed. he checked out quite a few different brands. I keep it with my emergency supplies in a crate. My grown daughter teases me and says the crate is for the Zombie Apocalypse. It's an especially nice addition as we are near a river and have a pond right outside our property.…
Have not had a chance to use it yet. I am confident from the reviews and published lab testing that it will work as advertised and become an indispensable part of our safety requirements. Add On: 10/03/17 Finally had the opportunity to use this product this past weekend. Worked as advertised and produced excellent tasting water.
Well, I can’t answer that because I am not sure which specific one you are referring to? The specs for each product should be posted. I am very happy with this one, to the point that I bought a second because we usually camp/hike in a group of 4-6 people and it just saves time.
It is legit. I backpack with 3 other people who all have their own systems. 2 have Sawyer systems and the other with the 3L Platypus gravity system. The Playpus system is great for camp with the blaster for plenty of water. The Sawyer systems especially the squeeze one is fast. But the entire group agrees that the best tasting and clearest water comes from the Survivor PRO system. I have never had any tannins from river, creek, stream, lake water visible after filtering with this filter. Whereas my companions have water that looks like tea (still drinkable and filtered) in their bottles/blatters while my bottles are crystal clear water. I've done 2 through hikes with this system and it has performed above expectations. Pro tip. Keep pump on ground when pumping, your reservoir will fill much faster than holding the unit in your hand. Happy hiking.

Perfect for hiking/camping or even if your tap need filtering.…
In spending a lot of time day hiking, mountain biking, camping and in the backcountry we have found these to be one of our indispensable go to items.…
As long as you leave the time to do so and have a good water source it shouldn't be a problem. Keep in mind the recommended number of liters the filter will "purify" is limited but camping means you should be able to clean filter easily as needed and it should last you multiple camping trips
…I also usually will chug a 3rd liter at the water source AKA Camel up, and if I knew I was going to be dry camping that night, I would fill the BeFree 1L bladder with an extra liter, so I would have extra water for cooking and in the AM.…
