Can a priest, his brother, and the brother's girlfriend solve a murder case and see justice done - or will they be the murderer's latest victim? A Murder on Wall Street takes us inside the world of Captain O'Brian's Irish Pub and Cigar Bar in Manhattan, a legendary hotspot in the Financial District. Investigating the death are pub owners Joey Mancuso, fired from the New York Police Department for his unorthodox methods, and his brother Father Dominic, who isn't your typical priest. Also investigating is Marcy Martinez, a Cuban bombshell and FBI agent who is Joey's girlfriend.
When a customer kills himself after celebrating the night before, the three know something's wrong. Turns out, the customer's death coincides with people losing money - lots of it - and some of those people are very, very dangerous.

A man jumped from a 21 story building.....or did he? Father O'Brian isn't so sure, so he and his brother start digging. Then the jumper's secretary is victim of a hit and run . Coincidence?
There is no shortage of suspects here, and I like the way that brothers wade through them.
The only part I didn't like is the "big reveal" at the end. That came off as more than a bit corny. But the actual results of the investigations was outstanding. I don't know that I've ever been so surprised at to "Who Done It"!
I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the series, as both protagonists are likeable as well as believable.
Pg 8 - “Mr. Pat served with Dom’s brother...Brandon.” No, that’s Dom’s father.
Pg 8 - “Mr. Pat worked alongside Dom’s brother.” No, he worked alongside Dom’s father.
Pg 27 - “God sent Father Joey to intercede.” No, he sent Father Dom.
Pg 74 - “Hay, come se parece a Charlie...” No, just no. It should be “Ay, cómo se...”
Pg 175 - “The SEC [In chapter twenty, I put “SEC” in parentheses].” I think that’s the author’s personal note to himself.
The story, the characters, the bar, et al, were okay. Unfortunately, there was a lot of repetitiveness in it and the only character I actually liked was Mr. Pat and his fake accent. I was put off by a sibling calling his brother ‘lana‘ (read that backwards) and coaxing his brother-the-Catholic-priest to get cozier with a woman.
From a writing standpoint, I thought a lot of the sentences and wording were stilted. In my Kindle edition, there were editing and formatting issues. A little more effort and editorial assistance would have made the story more polished.
There was no graphic violence or graphic sex in the story. There were a few effs and similar words.

The text is a bit "lightweight", I didn't bond with the characters and there is a lot of dialogue (around eating, smoking cigars and drinking) that just adds nothing to the books. A good writer can use a small amount of prose to paint a picture - but these books have pages that just feel like filler.
