My daughter has often referred to herself as a "dork". She was putting herself down in some way. The term was not used much in my generation, so I looked it up. Seems "dork" started out as a put down but has survived to become a much better term. I read the volume I purchased and told her that the book made me think of her own struggles and how she has handled them. Oh, I also told her, the first book was on me, to see how she does in the future, she'll have to buy more. It's all done in turn but with a lesson to be learned.

I got these books for my niece for Christmas and she was over the moon. I love spoiling the nieces and nephew and I definitely am going to buy books when they ask and I have no regrets with this purchase.

My 10 year old daughter was recently looking for a new series of books to read as her favorite series is awaiting a new installment that won’t be out until at least 20201. That is where Dork Diaries comes in. I had bought books 1 & 2 at our schools book fair and hoped she would take an interest in them. It took until she was out of other books first but when she finally picked them up she couldn’t put them down. She read the first book in about 2 days. Then the second by the end of the week. I was so excited that she was happy about reading, I went ahead and ordered book 3 and the set of 4-6. Now that summer is over and she is back to school, her time to sit back and read all day has been interrupt her need to study but she is definitely finding time to read. In the first week of school she finished 4-6 and is now ready for set 7-9.
I couldn’t be any happier to have an excited reader. It seems like it took us forever to get her here but now that she is, she isn’t turning back.

This is not the super Squee!! Edition like I thought it would be, but I still love this version!💗 😊 I've been looking for the print edition of this version for ages! I get why some people say it's inappropriate, but sometimes, you just grow up. That's life. What's up with the overprotective parents?! Can't find the print edition of this version anywhere anymore. Ever since my sister encouraged me to read it, I've become OBSESSED with this series! I would really recommend this.

Great for Lottie Brooks fans!

I bought this as a holiday read for my 9 year old daughter who is a big fan of the Lottie Brooks and Tom Gates series. I wasn't sure if she would find this one a bit dated as it was first published in 2009, but she whizzed through it, absolutely loved it and is now on book 4 in the series. Great to know there are so many so she can ask relatives to give them as presents in the future, or look out for them in the library.

Dork Diaries Book 1

I chose this rating because this fantastic book was intriguing and I absolutely loved it. I have also read some Dork Diaries books in school and that is where I got the idea of reading the 1ST book.
I liked everything!
I disliked nothing!
I would recommend it to anyone who likes 1st person and kind of romantic tales (it was romantic but in a different way, read the book and you'll understand!)

This was obviously the first book. But I felt it wasnt that exciting. If you are bored after u have finished his book. Read the next couple of books from the series because I promise you that it gets much more interesting

loved this series so much. it daughter inspired me to make my own anime comic strips and believe in who i am. plus im writing my own diary with the same style because omg the best series ever. totally hundred percent recommend it and hope everyone has a great day :)
