The Hulk is back, and he's going to smash his way through more masterworks than you can throw a tank at! It starts off with the time-travelling Kang the Conqueror and a trip back to World War I featuring the Phantom Eagle. Then, Hulk takes it to outer space, fighting the Abomination, before falling down to Earth and into the sub-atomic world of the Psyklop. Following the classic introduction of Hulk's love, Jarella, comes the first appearance of Doc Samson, a battle atop the Empire State Building, and the fight for who's meanest and greenest against Dr. Doom! Plus, the Phantom Eagle's first appearance from MARVEL SUPER-HEROES!
He's mean, he's green, and sometimes he's too small to be seen - he's the Incredible Hulk! Yes, the Hulk's back in another round of tales full of trials, tribulations, revenge, romance and...Richard Nixon?! Returning from a battle with Dr. Doom, the Hulk finds himself in the sights of the U.S. military's Project: Greenskin. Objective? Destroy the Hulk! Add in the Rhino and the Abomination, and the action and drama can't be contained! Then, Hulk heads for Canada where the X-Men's Mimic returns, and the Wendigo makes his first appearance! To save their hidden city, they launch Hulk into deep space — but a mean green course correction lands Hulk on Counter-Earth! There, he and Adam Warlock must save the other Earth before an express rocket home lands the Hulk in the Canadian wild, where he'll battle the Wendigo — and in one of the most important stories in Marvel history, face off against Wolverine in the X-Man-to-be's first appearance!
Hulk is the strongest! Why? Because it's hard not to be when you go from strength to strength with artists Herb Trimpe and Sal Buscema! Trimpe defined the incredible Hulk in an artistic tenure stretching from 1968 to 1975. When Sal Buscema took over the reins, not only did the series gain a great talent, but one that, unbelievably, would have a tenure longer than even Trimpe's! Add to that Len Wein writing some of his greatest Hulk stories and you've got a bona fi de Marvel Masterworks! The adventures include Hulk smashing his way through the Mole Man, the Gremlin, the Shaper of Worlds, Doc Samson, the Abomination...and, of course, the never-ending military machinations of Gen. "Thunderbolt" Ross!
The always incredible Hulk's adventures continue, led by Len Wein and Sal Buscema! And they kick things off with an all-out slugfest between the Hulk, Man-Thing and the Glob! While the Hulk fights for his life, romance grows between Betty Ross and Doc Samson. It's the kind of relationship that leads to a battle between green hair and green skin! Then, in the milestone issue #200, it's microscopic trip — literally — into the mind of Glenn Talbot! Hulk's return to the heart of the atom brings him back to his love Jarella, but the tragic events that follow drive the Hulk into a berserker rampage! Also featuring the Defenders, the Absorbing Man and a giant-size Annual in which Hulk battles classic Marvel monsters!
Bruce Banner’s in the big city — and New Yorkers are earning their reputation for not being the friendliest bunch! The Quintronic Man, the Constrictor and Jack of Hearts all have it out for Banner, and that means the Hulk’s gonna take a gamma-green bite out of the Big Apple! Then, Hulk heads upstate — straight up, to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier — to battle the Bi-Beast! Both brutes are presumed dead in the aftermath of this cataclysmic clash, but will this mean some rare peace for the Hulk? Sadly no, because no man is an island — and when Hulk washes ashore, trouble comes to him in writer Roger Stern’s dazzling debut! Also featuring monster and mystic team-ups with Doctor Strange and Doctor Druid and a classic Hulk tale by Jim Starlin!
Roger Stern and Sal Buscema plumb the depths of Bruce Banner, Marvel's most conflicted character — but can they find what hope lies in the mind of the man cursed by the Incredible Hulk? This round of Marvel classics begins with Banner finally cured of his gamma-powered alter ego! But without the Hulk's power, how can he stop the Leader? It's a life-or-death fight that just might end with the Hulk, not Banner, free of his hated other half — and only Doc Samson can save the man inside the monster! Also featuring a double-sized Stern ‘n' Byrne Annual pitting Hulk, Iceman and Angel against the mile-high menace of Master Mold — and a classic crossover with Captain America!
Roger Stern brings his timeless Hulk run to a close with an Incredible finish! With Hulk icon Sal Buscema at the drawing board, ol' Jade Jaws gets wound up in an epic four-issue struggle with Machine Man that'll test the limits of both man and, well, machine! The high-tech thief Goldbug is searching for a lost city of gold, and needs the Hulk to find it, but what is his connection to the enigmatic They Who Wield Power? And can Hulk stand up to a foe even bigger than he is? Find out when he takes on It the Living Colossus! Plus: It's Hulk vs. Canadian heavyweight Sasquatch in one extra-sized Annual, and the legendary Steve Ditko is on hand to draw another!
The Masterworks rampage into the incredible Bill Mantlo era of Hulk! Mantlo's five-year run redefined comics' meanest, greenest goliath - and it all kicks off when the Hulk unleashes his rage on Gamma Base! By the time the dust settles, Hulk will find himself exiled to Jarella's world, where he crosses paths with the cosmic Gardener, wielder of an Infinity Gem! Then it's back to Earth for a chilling fight against Jack Frost in a tale drawn by the legendary Steve Ditko. A double-sized 250th issue features a team-up and tussle with the Silver Surfer, after which Hulk faces a "Trial by Monster" when he finds himself in the middle of a civil war between monster men! The indelible art of Sal Buscema makes page after page a Marvel Masterwork!
Dr. Robert Bruce Banner may look like a mild-mannered scientist, but after being caught in a gamma-bomb explosion, he became the unstoppable engine of destruction known as the Hulk! Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's atomic update on the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde paradigm mixed the might of giant monsters with Cold War intrigue and psychological drama. Decades later, it's a formula that still has readers clamoring for more! For the first time, this Epic Collection follows Hulk's every adventure: his original series, his time fighting alongside — and against — the Avengers, his first confrontation with the Thing, encounters with Spider-Man and Ant-Man, and a mythic battle with Thor!
I smash, you smash, but nobody, nobody, smashes like Hulk smash! Leaping out of the pages of TALES TO ASTONISH and into his own ongoing title again, the Incredible Hulk has twice the space to shake the Earth with his mighty rage. And he'll need it! The Hulk travels far and wide — but doesn't make too many friends along the way! The jade giant's travelogue of destruction leaves the Mandarin, the Inhumans, the Sandman and the entire Savage Land rubbing sore jaws. And when Hulk's archnemesis the Leader returns, all bets are off — as writer Stan Lee joins with iconic Hulk artist Herb Trimpe (who makes his debut in this very volume!) to pull out all the stops!
It’s time to Hulk out! We begin with bare-fisted battles against the Sub-Mariner, the Inhumans and the bizarre swamp beast the Glob! Then, the Hulk and the Thing go mano a mano! With Reed Richards’ help, the man inside the monster is freed, allowing Bruce Banner to step up to the wedding altar with Betty Ross. But when the Leader and the Rhino return, happily ever after is the last thing they have in mind! There’s also an earth-shaking battle between the Hulk and the Avengers, the menace of the Absorbing Man, a team-up with Dr. Strange, the unbelievable separation of Banner and the Hulk into separate beings — and don’t forget the hordes of Hydra! This Hulk-sized Epic Collection will leave you feeling green and loving it! Collecting INCREDIBLE HULK (1968) #118-137 and MARVEL SUPER-HEROES (1967) #16.
The Hulk is back — and ready to smash his way through more villains than you can throw a tank at! Watch out, Sandman and Leader, you’re in the path of the Green Goliath! But when the Hulk journeys into the subatomic world of the Psyklop, he will meet his true love — the princess named Jarella! Then, don’t miss the debut of the Hulk’s longtime enemy and ally, the gamma-powered psychiatrist Doc Samson! And in the aftermath of a battle with another doctor (Doom, that is), the Hulk finds himself in the sights of the military’s Project: Greenskin. Objective? Destroy the Hulk! Finally, with Ant-Man’s help, Hulk will reunite with Jarella — but not before the Marvel Universe’s greatest heroes put him on trial!

Stan Lee is a man who needs no introduction. Nevertheless: Having begun his career with wartime Timely Comics and staying the course throughout the Atlas era, Stan the Man made comic-book history with Fantastic Four #1, harbinger of a bold new perspective in story writing that endures to this day. With some of the industry’s greatest artists, he introduced hero after hero in Incredible Hulk, Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men and more — forming a shared universe for rival publishers to measure themselves against. After an almost literal lifetime of writing and editing, Lee entered new entertainment fields and earned Marvel one opportunity after another. He remains one of Marvel’s best-known public representatives.

Roy William Thomas, Jr. (born November 22, 1940) is an American comic book writer and editor, who was Stan Lee's first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics. He is possibly best known for introducing the pulp magazine hero Conan the Barbarian to American comics, with a series that added to the storyline of Robert E. Howard's character and helped launch a sword and sorcery trend in comics. Thomas is also known for his championing of Golden Age comic-book heroes – particularly the 1940s superhero team the Justice Society of America – and for lengthy writing stints on Marvel's X-Men and Avengers, and DC Comics' All-Star Squadron, among other titles.
Thomas was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2011.

Born in Indianapolis, he went to Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He studied Psychology because people fascinated him, but in getting his B.A. he learned that psychology didn't describe real people, so he became a writer.
Living the Young Creator's life in New York, he got to be drinking buddies with an editorial assistant at Marvel Comics. One night the e.a. called to say he was going on vacation for six weeks; would Steve like to fill in for him on staff? Steve would, and once in the door at what was then a very small operation, he got a shot at writing a comic. It was a failing series called Captain America -- but six months later it had become Marvel's leading seller, and Steve had all the work he could handle. He became Marvel's lead writer, adding The Hulk, The Avengers, Thor, Dr. Strange, and half a dozen other series. Then he was hired away by DC Comics to be their lead writer and revamp their core characters (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern). He did, but also wrote a solo Batman series that readers dubbed the "definitive" version and broke the long-standing barrier between comics readers and the mass market. All comics films since Batman in 1989 stem from that.
After Batman he traveled around Europe for a year and wrote his first novel, The Point Man. Since then he's designed video games for Atari, Activision, Electronic Arts, and others. He's written animation for Street Fighter and G.I. Joe. He's written mid-grade books for Avon, including the DNAgers series, and Countdown to Flight, a biography of the Wright brothers selected by NASA as the basis for their school programs on the invention of the aeroplane. And he's written more comics, like Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer, which led to the San Diego Comic-Con calling him "comics' most successful writer, having had more hits with more characters at more companies than anyone else in comics history." He created The Night Man, which became a live-action television series.
Most recently, The Point Man has engendered a series of novels from Tor, beginning with The Long Man.
Gerard F. "Gerry" Conway (born September 10, 1952) is an American writer of comic books and television shows. He is known for co-creating the Marvel Comics' vigilante the Punisher and scripting the death of the character Gwen Stacy during his long run on The Amazing Spider-Man. At DC Comics, he is known for co-creating the superhero Firestorm and others, and for writing the Justice League of America for eight years. Conway wrote the first major, modern-day intercompany crossover, Superman vs. the Amazing Spider-Man.

Roger Stern has written for radio, television, the stage, and the Internet, creating scripts for everything from sketch comedy to flash-animation. For ten years, he was the senior writer of the Superman series for DC Comics. Stern has written hundreds of stories about such diverse characters as Green Lantern, Supergirl, Starman, the Atom, and the Justice League for DC Comics; and Spider-Man, Captain America, Doctor Strange, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and the Avengers for Marvel. His first prose novel, The Death and Life of Superman, was a New York Times bestseller.
John Lindley Byrne (born July 6, 1950) is a British-born American comic-book writer and artist. Since the mid-1970s, Byrne has worked on many major American superheroes. Byrne's better-known work has been on Marvel Comics’ X-Men and Fantastic Four and the 1986 relaunch of DC Comics’ Superman franchise, the first issue of which featured comics' first variant cover. Coming into the comics profession exclusively as a penciler, Byrne began co-plotting the X-Men comics during his tenure on them, and launched his writing career in earnest with Fantastic Four (where he started inking his own pencils). During the 1990s he produced a number of creator-owned works, including Next Men and Danger Unlimited. He scripted the first issues of Mike Mignola's Hellboy series and produced a number of Star Trek comics for IDW Publishing. In 2015, Byrne and his longtime X-Men collaborator Chris Claremont were inducted into the comic book hall of fame.
