Love is universal. As is heartbreak. Forbidden love makes the heart race. Lost love creates an ache that can last an eternity.
Love letters can be heartbreaking or exhilarating. They can create hope or dash it. They can be written to future loves, current loves or past loves. They can bring comfort or despair.
In this anthology, you’ll find it all, and each story has its own voice and its own message.
A Change of Circumstances-The application is complete, but her questions remain. Will she measure up? Is she making a mistake?
A Smile-Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference in someone’s life.
A Twins' Blessing-Folklore and twins. Grief and joy.
Dear X-A letter we’ve all written.
Letters of Tragedy-Three stories in one that look at a famous tragedy from different perspectives.
Love Letter to Life-A brutally honest letter about depression, fear, and strength.
Love Letters to the Lonely Hearts-A reminder that we’re not alone, especially when we feel like we are.
Love's Voyage to Eternity-A lovely poem about the choices we make, and how we’re not alone in our journey.
My Dearest Robert-A joyous remembrance of a life together.
Neptune's Compassion-A love story that ends with a mystery.
Sealed With a Kiss-Deciding to choose hope over fear.
The Forbidden Kiss-A young girl’s mental gymnastics about her relationship with her teacher.
Ticket 972, A Saturday Morning at the DMV, and Colin-Sometimes life is predictable. And sometimes something unexpected happens.
Written in Stone-Sometimes things are just meant to be.
This anthology was written by authors who signed up for the 2020 Love Letters Short Story Challenge, hosted by author, Michelle Francik. They met the challenge and this anthology is the end result!
Also included is a chapter about our past Challenge winners; what they're up to and how they felt about the Challenges they participated in!
Love is a risk. So is choosing a good book. Take a chance on these authors and their stories. Find your soulmate. Let go of your fear. Read their stories. Find the perfect Love Letter for you!
This anthology is a collection of essays, poems and stories that touch on how the Corona virus has affected us all. The authors dug deep and wrote honestly about their fears and their struggles, but also their joys and revelations! Funny, touching, thought-provoking: there's something for everyone!
Some people are determined to act as if everything’s normal while others are devastated that they can’t have their annual Halloween gala. Trick or treating has either been cancelled or there are so many rules in place to protect everyone from Covid-19 that it barely resembles its previous incarnations.
For the 2020 Halloween Short Story Challenge, I tasked the authors to look at Halloweens past, present and future. I suggested they view the holiday through the out-of-focus lens of 2020, but they didn’t have to. I challenged them to search outside the box, inside the box and all around the box, until they found something that resonated within them.
For many, this year has been one of loss, fear, uncertainty and apathy. It’s been hard to get out of bed let alone be creative. That’s why this was an especially difficult, yet important, Challenge.
The authors in this anthology accepted that challenge and they’ve written an incredible, eclectic assortment of Halloween stories and poems. They’ll terrify you. They’ll delight you. They’ll make you laugh. And hopefully, for at least as long as it takes you to read them, you’ll be distracted from the real-life horrors of 2020. Enjoy!
Things that go bump in the night. Mighty warriors, dragons, and fairies. Ogres and cupids. Magic, mystery and mayhem. Join our authors on a journey through time. To a place where magic exists and things are not always what they seem. Fourteen authors and eighteen stories. Tales of bravery, enchantment, terror, and romance.
What are you waiting for?
What does unconditional love mean to you? That's the question these authors were asked to answer and write about in this Short Story Challenge. Oh, and since this is the Animals Edition, they had to feature an animal!
In this anthology, you'll find 21 original works from 10 very different authors! Stories, poems and essays that reveal the bravery, joy, grief, humor and hope of unconditional love.

But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. The sun always rises, bringing us a new day, with new promise.
For the fourth Short Story Writing Challenge of 2021, the authors were tasked with writing poems and short stories that reflect the theme: Hope and Renewal.
In this anthology you'll find 24 stories or poems written by 10 authors who did their best to find hope, love, and the promise of a new day. These stories will make you laugh, cry, and remind you that this too shall pass.
Get your copy today. And send one to every person you know who needs something to hope for and look forward to. Our goal is to make your day a little brighter!
This is Book 9 in our Short Story Challenge Anthology series.
They've come up with 18 unique reflections: some written about memories of people that they've loved and lost; some about unconventional family members; others written from the point of view of a child writing a school essay. From past to future, these authors explore the subject and come to their own conclusions.
What does family mean to you? How about unconditional love? These stories will make you smile, chuckle and wipe a tear from your eye. Enjoy!
Myth or Memory? A Short Story Anthology is a collection of fictional short stories that are based on myths, mythological creatures, or something having to do with mythology. Some are re-imagined mythical stories other are mythical re-imaginings with a hint of truth to them!
Can you tell which are simply re-imagined myths and which are based on events that actually happened?
Death has come calling. Ready to collect what belongs to the dark unknown.
Mistakes come back to haunt the living while the dead prowl restlessly, looking for relief.
This collection of short stories will thrill you, chill you and fill you with a sense of dread.
What's that noise? Where is it coming from? You might want to keep your distance, or the distance might come for you!
Sixteen brand new short stories will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Read them at your own risk. And we definitely advise you to keep the lights on!
Not too scary and a little bit sweet, the stories will entertain and thrill!
