The sexy, action-packed first dramatized audiobook adaptation in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from Sarah J. Maas. Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he's not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking series that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable listen.

Part 2 steals the show. As the story picks up in pace and things escalate in Prythian, the narrators up their game, the sound effects are there to back up the events, and overall it's just such an emotional ride. Especially with the Middengard Wyrm. That's a part of the story I struggled with the impact of when I read ACOTAR the first time, and the Graphic Audio really helped me feel as though I was right there with Feyre.
I have so many feelings, I could sit and write about this book, the characters, and the impact of the Graphic Audio on my listening experience, but to keep it short and sweet...
The narrators are great. While there are minor things I'd change, overall their delivery of the story is outstanding.
The sound effects are wonderful and work perfectly in keeping a reader engaged. In enhancing the image in one's mind. A couple sounds are a bit corny, but they're effective in their purpose. I'm obsessed with how consistent and well executed the sound effects and background are!
I do wish there were chapter/section breaks that could be used to jump/skip or hold a listening place. That said, the flow of the story as its being told makes you lose track of time. It's so smooth and well done. It would be difficult to break the story up into pieces and keep the same effect Graphic Audio has created here. So I get why it's the way that it is, and I personally ran into no issues.
LISTEN. TO. THESE. AUDIOBOOKS!!!
I wasn't sure I'd like the series, I've actually had the books on my shelf to read for a while and could never make myself dive in. The graphic audio pushed me into listening and I'm glad. I'm really starting to get into the story and can't wait to start the next book. The ending of this one was intense.
