I can’t find 8 oz jars in any stores and I make Jam for Christmas every year. I bought 5 dozen of these jars this week. I’ve never used this brand but I was desperate. The jars and great and the packaging was top- notch so nothing came close to breaking. But the lids were a fail! Like completely.I made 4 dozen and only 4 of the jar lids popped for a seal. Only 4!! Out of 48!! Some lids sealed mostly, but not totally. (Some of the lids didn’t even have complete seal rings).I’m heading to the store to find name brand lids and I’ll have to reprocess my jam today.I would still recommend the glass jars. But go but make brand lids!!!!!!!

I made 4 dozen and only 4 of the jar lids popped for a seal. Only 4!! Out of 48!! Some lids sealed mostly, but not totally. (Some of the lids didn’t even have complete seal rings).
I’m heading to the store to find name brand lids and I’ll have to reprocess my jam today.
I would still recommend the glass jars. But go but make brand lids!!!!!!!
Great jar - bad lids!

Awful. Don’t buy

Well packaged but perhaps during manufacturing some of the lids were not screwed on properly so when you take them out of the padded package and begin to unscrew the lid they either have large cracks in them or as you can see from the photo they fall apart in your hand. Luckily the cuts were minor. Be very careful because when you look at them in the package they look fine.
