I have never seen anyone not as surprised as these actors were to find the Arizona still floating. I don't think disbelief was part of their vocabulary. Constantly the actors under deliver and it completely ruins the suspension of disbelief, magnifying all the other inaccuracies.

Now let's get to the plot. The most high tension part revolves around a Japanese pilot getting lose that they let on the ship. They did not restrain the pilot after he destroyed an American civilian boat. What?!? If that doesn't say it all I don't know what will. The writers are using inaccuracies to facilitate a poorly planned plot.

Case in point, they have a F14 pilot (the air group commander no less) going on a rescue mission in a helicopter when they have a fully staffed aircraft carrier. Of course he acts a fool out there too.

Unbelievably terrible. Though the cinematography gets close to Top Gun quality in parts (panning is quite shaky sometimes) I would not recommend this movie to anyone.
