Such a good book!!!! I thought this was a duology so I wasn't ready for things to end the way they do.

I loved book 1 but book 2 is just soooooooo much better. I was emotionally invested in book 1 but The Traitor Queen gave me all kinds of feels, physically. When I get those, it's an automatic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Things are really rough for Lara THE WHOLE FREAKING TIME. That girl is put through so much, physically and emotionally, and she doesn't break! Even though I adore Aren, there were times where I thought Lara was just better off without him. When he was being complete douche!

There are two parts that are my absolute favorite. One is when Lara is reunited with her sisters. They kick major ass. Even Sarhina in her condition 🤫. And when the harem steps up and plays a big role in a prison break. Goes to show the king, how wrong he is about women's worth.

Lara and Aren have such a loooooooong hard road to get back to one another but even at the worst of times, they were there to help the other out. Such a good team. MAJOR FEELS!

The ending was hard but I actually liked how things played out. It didn't feel like a cop out, or rushed, or anything. Things were hard, brutal at times, but we get our HEA. Mostly.

Having met the major characters for the next book, I feel like it was a nice intro to get us interested in what's to come.
