I am a huge fan of N.K. Jemisin and have read all of her books. This is actually the second time I have read The Dreamblood Duology and it is just as satisfying as the first time. N.K. Jemisin builds a gorgeous world loosely based off of ancient Egypt. The characters are complex and unique. It is very easy to get emotionally attached to them. I feel that N.K. Jemisin truly tells you a WHOLE story. Every idea she seeds in her stories comes to fruition so that the reader is not feeling frustrated or unsatisfied with questions left unanswered. The Dreamblood Duology is no exception! Do yourself a favor and read these books. Your heart will be happy that you did!
