Ran a few internet speed tests with my Ethernet cable plugged into the surge protector and out to the computer and every time I would cap at 70 Mbps. When the ethernet is directly plugged into the computer it gets anywhere from 170 to 200Mbps. Very dissapointing since surges can and often do come through ethernet. I will just have to plug the ethernet cord into the surge suppressor during electric storms, I am just not willing to give up that much speed to have 100% protection.
