2.5 yrs of owing the vacuum and 1.5 yrs into 3 yr asurion warranty the powerbot started to squeal, rattle and gave a motor error. Return to Asurion first time they found it needed a new motor which they replaced and sent the unit back in just over a week. They sent several emails updating on the progress ....(received, inspection underway, parts are ordered, completed repair, sent back). The vacuum worked for about 2 wks and the it started to make more noise than last time. I submitted another claim and sent it off again. This time there were no progress email updates but it came back about a week later and sounds good again. Time will tell. Main plus - great response and quick turnaround. 3 main issues are it wasn't fixed right the first time, 2nd time there was no communication about what they did this time and third they didn't repalce the beater bar/brush which is also broken. Original warranty from Samsung says this part is covered for 1 yr. Asurion warranty says it covers 3 more years of mftr original warranty so I will be sending another claim on the beater bar. The item is discontinued unfortunately so I suspect they are hoping I won't notice as the only option I see i$ to replace the unit with a newer model or give me my money back. Stay tuned....will see how claim #3 goes.
