What a nightmare! Gift card arrives, I peel off sticker to check balance, and find out my $200 gift card has a zero balance. Call customer service, three reps put me on terminal hold after finding out they have one very angry customer who doesn't want to hear about "we'll escalate this to our gift card team". After hours on the phone with people I cannot understand because they don't speak English very well at all, their solution is to send me a new card. Too bad I needed it as a gift today!

Update: new card arrived, and it also shows a zero balance. Customer service rep says THEY see a $200.00 balance on their systems, to which I reply: "The person to whom I give this is going to do the EXACT same thing I did, which is to check the balance and discover it is ZERO!" Amazon's systems are clearly broken. What a disaster. Hey Jeff Bezos, put one of your 45 personal assistants on this and get it fixed!
