I wondered how on earth the author was going to tie up all the many plot threads in this, the last Unwind book. I should never have doubted Mr. Shusterman. This book is very satisfying although it wrecked brutal havoc on my emotions until the very end. Cam's trying to bring down Proactive Citizenry...the group who rewound him but is up to something very sinister. Grace, Risa, and Conner are have found something very important that could make unwinding completely extinct. Lev takes drastic matters into his own hands for the cause, while living on the Rez. Nasty Starkey is getting more and more out of control with his band of storks. Will they have the courage to do something about him? Nelson and Argent are still working together to find Grace and thereby Conner. And Una is lookiing for revenge for the murder of her true love Wil.
I've said it before and I will say it again: This series is better than almost anything else in the genre right now. It just feels so plausible. We like to destroy ourselves these days, and this scenario seems like it could really happen. Peppered in between chapters, the author gives more power to that sentiment by including real newspaper and magazine articles about harvesting organs and euthanizing our youth. Take a chance on this series and don't be afraid it will have an "Alligent" ending.
