Like other reviews, I have a problem with some of the “lessons” in this book. We checked this book out from our local library and were looking forward to teaching our son about emotions and bad moods; instead, we read a strange story 1/2 way about bad moods, and filled will inappropriate messages. I’m particularly concerned about Lou and Mrs. Durham. Lou (a white man) is extremely rude, strips down to his underwear in front of Mrs. Durham (a black woman- who based on her title is married) against her wishes and they play it off as cutesy flirtation. Absolutely not. Later on in the book these two characters get married excusing his rudeness and sexual harassment. There’s underlying tones of racism, misogyny, and getting joy at the expense of others (curly poking her brother with the stick, the mom laughing at Lou). I definitely wouldn’t recommend this book.
