1) center won't lie flat, but buckles up in ridges, and 2) the surrounding 1" band is not well attached to the rug itself, easily lifted up by a vacuum or passing foot - either could result in catching a foot and result in falling and injury. For this much money, I certainly expected a better product. But the color IS nice.
