It is not really an analysis of race, ethnicity, and nation historical development but a repeating of various platitudes regarding them. As always in these types of speeches, the writer picks out something that went wrong in history and concludes that it would have been better if we could all get along. Yeah, great, no one disagrees with that. The writer and the listeners feel better, like a good group therapy session, but nothing is really accomplished. There were 1.5 billion people on earth in 1900; despite two world wars, there were over 6 billion on earth in 2000. We must have done something right. We cannot talk about race in this country because everyone only wants to deal in platitudes. This book does not help.
