I've never followed a series that goes over 10 books that doesn't start to lose steam. True Dead suffers from ginormous exposition/info dumps, lack of growing emotional/relationship connection between Jane and her peeps (which are far too many now to give everyone time in one novel), and lack of personal growth for Jane. How long is she going to opine that Beast is keeping things from her, and blithely ignore what the I/We designation Beast uses more and more might mean. Jane has all these resources -- records, people who have lived for centuries -- and she barely taps them. Instead she greets each challenge on the fly, by the skin of her oversized teeth. By book 14 I had hoped she would have learned more, and grown into a more effective Warrior Woman. I hope book 15 is better.
