I was hoping this spin-off series would be about Brighton and it isโ€ฆ The book starts off with a bang and I love how much Brighton has changed, she turned herself in to one kick ass lady.. even though the rest of the order does not know and does not recognize the amazing lady she is becoming. The Prince is also not the character I expected him to be and I liked that, because it surprised me. It was also really nice to see a bit of Ivy and Ren in this book as well, but the star as always was Tink. I was so happy he had a big role in this book as well. This book is action packed with some laughs and love on the side. For a novella, it was balanced well.

Even as a novella this book was full of everything: action, emotions, love, smut, pain, laughs. Throughout, this book Brighton goes through a lot. I a big part of the book is pretty dark in my opinion and it really shows how strong Brighton is (if you thought she was strong before, wait until you read this). I could not stop reading, especially during this part. It even made me a bit emotional at times as well. I really canโ€™t say much more, because of spoilers. After this dark part of the book, we get to see more of the group and Brighton is slowly learning more about herself and everything that has happened. There are a lot of twists and turns and the book was paced pretty well. This book ends in a cliffhanger and once more I am so glad I can start the next book right away. Overall, a really well thought out novella with some very dark moments.

The queen is the final installment of this novella series (sounds a bit funny, but that is basically what it comes down to). I loved the characters, they all have grown even more and that made me love and understand them even better. So this ending, it usually does not happen I like the last book in a series the least, but in this case it did. I just felt like there should have been more to the story. I was expecting a bit more action and I thought there would be this insane final battle, but that did not happen in my opinion. It was just not as spectacular as I hoped. That said, I do really love all the other aspects of this novella. Even more so, I did loved how everything ended up between Caden and Brighton ended, there was also an epilogue which I LOVED (big plus since Tink was featured as well). I enjoyed reading this novella and the others tremendously and I think they are a great addition to the Wicked series.
