I read with my dyslexic son every night, trading off so that he builds his reading skills but doesn't fatigue and give up. So as a parent I get a to read/hear a lot of young adult literature. I love the fact that epic zero is a super hero that has to solve problems by thinking around different obstacles for creative solutions. His super power isn't an easy button so it's never a formula for fixing a problem. At times his situation seems unfair, his family is all regular superheros, and this mirrors being dyslexic. Sometimes things don't feel fair, but you power through and that's a great message for kids in a modern world. Can't wait for the next book!
