This would be an excellent book if it had been edited to about one third of its length. Far too much boring detail is provided on items that, although important, could have been adequately covered in a couple of well-written paragraphs rather than entire chapters. I read 450 pages of the 605 and had to stop out of sheer boredom. There is just no need to describe in painstaking detail every step that a piece of legislation took over an extended period of time. This author is clearly going for length and I will not finish this volume or attempt any of the other three.
