I am hooked on Robert Dugoni’s series with Tracy Crosswhite! She is a troubled detective who lost her sister when she was shockingly murdered. Each case that Tracy takes on brings back memories of the heartbreaking loss of her sister.
In this case a woman’s body is found in a crab pot by a teenage boy who was trying to pull up his crab pot. The race is on to find the killer. Tracy doesn’t realize how complicated this case is going to be until she delves deep into another case of a missing woman who climbed Mt. Rainier with her husband but did not come down from the mountain with him. Is this the body of the missing woman from the mountain? If it is, how did she end up there in the crab pot? I don’t want to tell you too much about this story. You must read this series beginning with book 1. I’m sure you will be as hooked as I am.
The author creates multi-faceted characters with flaws that keeps the reader engaged and turning pages. There are so many twists and turns that you never really know what is going on and who the killer is. He keeps the reader guessing until the last page which is my kind of mystery. I don’t want to be able to guess who too early.
I love Mr. Dugoni’s writing style and multi-layered stories with this fascinating character, Tracy Crosswhite. I have already downloaded the next book in the series, avidly looking forward to getting into Tracy’s world once again.
