If you know Boston you know th-ahs a Mystic River th-aha. You also know that this movie was taken from a true story as well. So here you have a bunch of friends that have known each other for some time now and the next thing you see happening when Sean Penn's daughter is murdered is these friends and their families all start to get a little nutty about who it was that killed his daughter so they start pointing their fing-ahs at Tim Robbins character and decide to be the judge and jury of him.
What I didn't like about it was the attitude of the movie especially Sean Penn's character and not a big fan of the person who plays his wife. I didn't like the light that shown on these people in this city and didn't especially like the fact that the detectives who end up solving Sean Penn's daughters murder has a killer as a friend standing right in
front of him. Doesn't say a lot for at least the detective Kevin Bacon plays. It is a good movie (characters in it are really down to earth and believably real. That I liked a lot about this movie. I recommend it.
