Sent a speaker for repair for the second time now. The first time, they said no issues, cleaned and sent back. Turned the speaker on, low frequency rattling, distortion, and crackling occurs EVERY time. Tried optical, HDMI, and Bluetooth connections along with several different media and devices outputting the various sounds and movies and music.
Clearly the dang thing is broken, but asurion/ Amazon whoever is doing the "inspection" is not running the speaker on low/ slow all the way to high/ fast and all combinations to see the distortion occur. VERY annoying in having to send multiple times. They're getting close to the value of the speaker already in shipping costs alone. Their loss I guess?
