I don't know how this thing has so many positive reviews. I'm in about 3 facebook groups for kids my babies same age, and all three groups realized around the same time that this chair was responsible for most of the meal-time trouble we were experiencing. The angle of the back is such that the kids can't sit up straight while eating. They either have to fully recline, or use one arm to push themselves forward, which twists their torso, and leaves them with out only one hand to eat with. No lie, about 6 of us dumped this seat for new ones (carrying types and brands) and we ALL saw an improvement in mealtime behavior including increased appetites, lower fussiness, and better overall posture in general. This thing is cheap for a reason. Spend a few bucks more on one you won't have to donate or throw out in 6 months.
