I sent a $50 gift card to my Granddaughter's cell phone number. She received a message from Amazon saying "Hi Tony. You have been sent a gift card from Amazon", or something like that. My Granddaughter's name is not Tony. It also showed that it was received on my account. It turns out that if you have a phone number that was someone else's number in the past, and that phone number is still listed on their account, the gift card will be applied to their account. I did not know that my granddaughter didn't have her phone number listed on her account. I don't know what would have happened if it was and the other person still had it on their account. Anyway, because it was received by Tony, I can't do anything about it. DON'T SEND A GFT CARD THROUGH A TEXT!!!
